Farm Bureau sets policy on national issues affecting ag in 2010
Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB) leaders were among the 369 Farm Bureau members from around the nation who gathered in Seattle Wash., Jan. 10-13, to approve organizational policies which will guide AFBF legislative and regulatory action in 2010. Livestock markets may fare better in 2010; crop outlook less certain
A potential federal boost to the ethanol market, South American forecasts, and an international outpouring of "wheat, wheat, wheat" will influence U.S. farm fortunes this season. Meanwhile, the forecast for livestock is optimism tempered with caution. That's according to agricultural economists who spoke at the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) 91st Annual Meeting in Seattle, Wash., Jan. 10-13.
