Amanda Kutchey - Macomb, Macomb County

Amanda Kutchey, 26, is a crop insurance specialist with GreenStone Farm Credit Services. In this role, she works with farmers on a daily basis, helping her clients manage risk and stay current with today's constantly evolving agriculture industry.

Kutchey also works on her family's fruit and vegetable farm as help is needed. She prepares for planting, runs the farm market, and has recently begun leading communication efforts. She assisted in the farm's website design and created social media accounts to better communicate with consumers and the community.

An active member of the Macomb County Farm Bureau, Kutchey currently serves on the board of directors and is chairperson of the Young Farmer and Video Committees. She also volunteers on the Project Rural Education Day and Communications Committees. At the state level, she has served on the Michigan Farm Bureau Young Farmer Committee.

Kutchey is also involved in several equine clubs and is the Eisenhower High School equestrian team coach. She earned a degree in agribusiness management and food industry management from Michigan State University.
