Discussion Topic

Each month Community Action Groups around the state meet to discuss issues that are affecting agriculture. The discussion topic is a tool that can be used to facilitate this discussion. Typically there will be a one-page article highlighting the details of the issue and how it affects local farmers and agriculture as a whole. Groups discuss the article and offer their comments on the topic including any experiences that they may have had.
Groups are then encouraged to answer three to four questions about the topic and submit their answers to their county Farm Bureau and Michigan Farm Bureau. Groups that are passionate about topics are encouraged to contact their county policy development committee to make policy recommendations.
