Myth Busters

Healthy Animals

Compassion For Animals

As livestock farmers, we've chosen a career that allows us to be around animals because we like animals.

So we take all possible steps to ensure that our animals are well cared for seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.

We recognize that superior animal care leads to the production of high-quality, safe and wholesome products.

Myth

Animals on larger farms are not cared for as well as animals on smaller farms.

Fact

Farm size has nothing to do with animal care. Farmers depend on healthy animals for livelihood and sustainability, so you can be assured that farmers, regardless of farm size, care for their livestock by providing a nutritious diet, good medical care and healthy living conditions.

Safe Food

Committed To Growing Safe Food

The U.S. has the safest food supply in the world thanks to innovation, technology and, most importantly, farmers who care.

Should I purchase organic foods?

This is a question that comes in many versions and contexts: Is organic food more nutritious? Is organic food better for my children? Is organic "worth it?" The task of food shopping has become fraught with conflicting information, frustration and, often, outright cynicism. Being an educated consumer has never been more challenging.

How can I be assured the food I purchase is safe?

The U.S. has many regulations in place to assure food safety from the farm to your grocery store. Click here to follow the food regulation process.
