Huron County Farm Bureau's 90th Annual Meeting

Some 130 farmer members of the Huron County Farm Bureau took action on several issues at the 91st annual meeting held August 24, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bad Axe.

Approved policies will be forwarded to the Michigan Farm Bureau Policy Development Committee, which will select those to be considered at the MFB 2011 State Annual Meeting.

Two local farmers were elected to the Board of Directors:  Corey Oeschger from Bay Port was elected for District 4, replacing Tom Haag who retired after 10 years on the Board.  Darrin Siement from Harbor Beach was re-elected as a District At Large and Adam Herford from Elkton was re-elected for District 5.  Jeremy Polega was elected as the Young Farmer Chair and Leanne Schuette was re-elected as the Promotion & Education Chair.
