DSA Award goes to Jeff and Dawn Oesterle

The Ingham County Farm Bureau presented its pinnacle award, the Distinguished Service to Agriculture (DSA) Award, to Jeff and Dawn Oesterle of Mason at the organization's annual meeting Sept. 9 in Mason. The DSA Award is presented annually and reserved for individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the local agriculture industry.

The Oesterles operate a four thousand acre farm with their sons Donald and Russell. They raise corn, wheat and beans. Jeff currently is the Chairman of the Public Policy Committee and is a member of the County Issues, Farmers Care Action Team, County Issues, MAEAP Legislation, Membership, Policy Devlopment, and the Promotion and Education Committes. Dawn is a Co-chair of the Membership Committee and a member of the Promtion and Education Committee. Both Danw and Jeff volunteer their time many hours during the Ingham County Fair at the food booth.
