Would you be willing to be a resource for your commodity?  What this entails is simply a willingness to share you commodity-specific insight whenever the media is looking for information on, for example, soybean rust or dairy prices or corn markets.

Timeliness is critical when dealing with the media, and having a list of readily available resources would save time spent scrambling around at the last moment.
