Rural Living Lessons for Kids
September 27, 2011, about 400 students participated in the inaugural Project Rural Education Day (R.E.D.) presented by St. Clair County Farm Bureau at Goodells County Park.
Students stopped at serveral stations to learn more about Michigan crops and farming such as sugar beets, grain, corn, diary, chickens, alpacas, equipment and floriculture.
All fourth graders in the county were invited to attend the event. Sixteen classrooms from seven schools attended.
