The Mason County Farm Bureau County Annual meeting was held at the Old Engine Club Pavilion on Saturday August 25, 2007. Here is where policy at the state level gets its start- at the local grass roots level. The attendees commended the Mason Lake Soil Conservation District on a great job with the local collection of toxic wastes. They also urged local school districts, along with the Intermediate School District, to introduce agri-science and agri-business courses of study into their curriculum. Other topics that were discussed were alternative energy, TB testing, the economic condition of the state and immigration as it impacts our county.
