Calhoun County Farm Bureau Scholarship For Studies in Ag-Related Fields
The Calhoun County Farm Bureau announced the 2010 recipients of the scholarship at the annual Summerfest Picnic. Rebecca Barton of Homer is attending Eastern Michigan University, Agri Business; Kara Bosserd of Marshall will be attending Blackhawk College in Illinois, Agri Business; Andrew (AJ) Johnson of Marshall will be attending University of Northwestern Ohio, Ag Diesel/Technician; and Sara Mowry of Burlington is attending Michigan State University, Agri Business. Congratulations to these members!
Our county Farm Bureau is pleased to offer the scholarship to members who wish to further their education in agriculture.
Calhoun County Farm Bureau Scholarship for studies in Ag-Related Fields issupported by the members of Calhoun County Farm Bureau and contributions in the memory of Arthur L. Banfield and Wendall Hart.
The Calhoun County Farm Bureau offers scholarships to assist high school graduates planning to attend college or technical school to obtain a degree in an agricultural related field and who can meet the following requirements:
The student to receive the scholarship must be from a Calhoun County Farm Bureau family, or if married or 21 years of age or older, have their own Calhoun County Farm Bureau membership.
A student is required to apply before March 31st for the coming school year.
The scholarship winner(s) must have applied and been accepted at the time the actual award is given (at the beginning of the school year).
The scholarship will be a gift, not a loan.
