This year Shelby Spopcey won the first place $500 scholarship from Clinton County Farm Bureau. The second place $250.00 scholarship was awarded to Kevin Wohlfert. If you are interested in the opportunity for 2012 there is financial support for our youth pursuing careers in agricultural related occupations. Did you know there was an additional opportunity to apply for the Marge Karker Scholarship from Michigan Farm Bureau? The deadline is January 10, 2012. There may be students in which qualify from MSU and should not pass this up. They must meet the following:
- Applicants must be current students at MSU
- Applicants must be from a Farm Bureau Family or if 21 or over, have their own membership in good standing
- Applicants can be pursuing a 2, 4 or post-graduate degree
- Applicants should have a 2.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Finalists should be prepared to attend an interview late in January
