Candidate Evaluation Committee:  This committee will be asked to evaluate incumbent state and national public officials who are seeking re-election and represent all or portions of our specific county.  The committee will also be asked to evaluate candidates who are challenging the incumbent.

Membership Committee:  The membership growth committee has the responsibility to plan and conduct an annual membership campaign.  The campaign should assure continued membership growth in the county by retaining previous years members and acquiring new members for the current year.

County Annual Committee:  This committee plans the local county annual meeting with the board of directors' approval.  They determine the type of meal, select the speaker(s),  and secure the location.  They also decide on decorations, supplies needed and prizes.

Promotion & Education/Information Committee:  This committee has the responsibility to provide information about local agriculture and the Isabella County Farm Bureau to members and the general public through the county newsletter and the local media.  This committee also carries out programs and projects for all Farm Bureau members and the general public to include: health and safety, leadership training, agriculture in the classroom, current issues, commodity promotion and consumer education.

Local Affairs Committee:  This committee will work to build a better relationship between local officials and county Farm Bureau to include:  identifying local issues, work with the Policy Development committee in developing resolutions, present local policy passed at the county annual to proper officials and strive to keep the county membership informed about local issues.

State Affairs Committee:  This committee will work to implement legislative policies that will affect the state agriculture scene.  Once policy is set, this committee plays an essential role in implementing Farm Bureau policy though the state branch of government.

National Affairs Committee:  This committee assists in developing the county telephone grid, to reach Farm Bureau members on important issues at hand, meet with Legislators and Congressmen and attend meetings on legislation.

Policy Development Committee:  This committee researches issues affecting agriculture and formulates county, state and national policy recommendations and submits them to members attending the county annual meeting for consideration and approval.

Young Farmer Committee:  This committee is designed to develop leadership between men and women ages 18-35.  It also gives opportunities to go to state and local discussion competitions, and win cash and prizes.  This is an exciting way to be part of Michigan's agriculture!
