2008 Scholarship Winners

My name is Joseph Pasch. My parents are Bob and Mary Pasch of Beal City. I am currently attending Michigan State University, and will be starting my junior year this fall. I am majoring in Animal Science with an Agribusiness Management specialization. While at school I am an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and the Dairy Club. Upon graduation I plan to return home to partner in the family dairy farm.

Hello, my name is Bonnie Collins and I am proud to say that I am one of the four winners of the Isabella County Farm Bureau Scholarships. I was born and raised in Vermont and when I was three my family and I moved to Michigan. Agriculture has always been a big part of my life because my family owned a dairy farm and they still do today. I attended elementary school in Weidman and I went to junior high and high school at Chippewa Hills. While at high school I joined the FFA and that has truly changed my life because I am furthering my education to become an Agriculture teacher. This last fall I started my first year of college at Michigan State University to become an Agriculture teacher with a minor in Biology. I would like to thank everyone at the Isabella County Farm Bureau for picking me to win this scholarship; this extra money will help me keep pursuing my teaching dream.

My name is Jennifer Imlay and ever since I have been a little girl I have had a love for horses. I have been involved in 4-H for nine years and have shown competitively all over the state. My life has completely revolved around horses. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and where my studies would take me. I am enrolled now at Michigan State University in the Equine Management Program. I knew this program was for me because it consists of working with horses, and the great hands on experience. I plan on doing a 15 week internship with a study abroad in Ireland. In completing the 2 year horse management program my overall plan is to apply to veterinary school where I hope to follow in my father's footsteps. Thank you very much for choosing me to receive your scholarship.

I am Olivia Fox and currently going to school at Michigan State University. I grew up in the rural area of Remus, Michigan. I attended Chippewa Hills School District and received my high school diploma there as well. I am currently a sophomore at MSU as an Animal Science major, with the Pre-Vet option. After I obtain my Bachelors degree in Animal Science, I plan on going into the Veterinary Medicine program at MSU. I am currently working at Dar's Barn, First Moon Racing, and volunteering at Pol's Veterinary Services. I am also enjoying my last year as a 4-H member, and hope to later become a 4-H leader myself. I hope to help and make an impact on the animal industry for both pets and production animals.
