YOUNG FARMER SCHOLARSHIP
2009

The Shiawassee County Farm Bureau Young Farmers will award a $750.00 scholarship to a Farm Bureau member pursuing a degree in any field of study, including trade schools, with a preference give to agriculture related fields. Applicant must be from a Shiawassee County Farm Bureau Member's family or must have their own membership.

Guidelines for eligibility are as follows:

- Pursuing a four-year bachelors degree or a technical program in any field with preference given to those studying in an agriculture related field

- Proof of enrollment in a two-year, four-year program, or a trade school (before receiving scholarship)

- Candidates in the two-year program must have at least a 2.5 GPA

- Four-year program candidates must have at least a 2.5 GPA

- Trade school candidates must have at least a 2.5 GPA

- Incoming college freshman must have at least a 3.0 GPA in high school

- An official transcript from your school must be included with your application

- Students are only eligible to receive the scholarship once

- The scholarship check is endorsed only to the college that the participant is attending

The scholarship committee will review scholarship applications. The committee will then select one applicant to receive the scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded at the Shiawassee County Farm Bureau County Annual Meeting, September 15, 2009
