Candidate Evaluation  Chair: Timothy Leep

Committee will evaluate those state and national candidates who, if elected or reelected to public office, will represent all or a portion of their county. Following their evaluation the Committees will decide which candidate, for a specific public office, to recommend for an AgriPac endorsement.

Communications   Chair: Rick Lawrence     

The role of committee is to help inform and educate the general, non-farming public about current agricultural issues.

County Issues Chair: Rick Lawrence

Responsible for identifying and addressing county issues that affect agriculture on a local basis. The Committee should represent agriculture and Farm Bureau on local, township and county issues and lead initiatives that increase the relationship with township and county officials.

Farmers CARE Action Team

The role of Farmers Care Action Teams is to work with members, legislators, media and the general public on issues regarding animal care and welfare -- issues.

MAEAP Legislation

Committee addresses specific issue that comes up on concerning The Michigan Agricultural Environmental Ensurance Program.

Membership  Chair: Rick Lawrence

Plan and conducts the annual county membership campaign. This membership campaign should ensure continued membership growth in the county by retaining previous years' members and acquiring new members for the current year.

Policy Development  Chair: Gordon Endsley

Develop Farm Bureau policy recommendations on local, state and national issues by encouraging the study and discussion of issues by all Farm Bureau members.

Promotion & Education  Chair: Carole Lawrence

Providing educational opportunities and experiences for Farm Bureau members and selected non-member, to the end that Farm Bureau and agriculture are benefited.

Public Policy  Chair: George Hubka

The committee has the responsibility to support and execute Farm Bureau policies, as established and adopted by Farm Bureau member, and to maintain regular contact with State and federal legislators and their staff.

Water Action Team  

The committee addresses specific issues that come up concerning water.

Young Farmer  Chair: Kyle McKeown

The responsibility to provide opportunities for leadership development, actively participate in the programs of their organization, and to plan and carry out a program of activities that will involve, by direct participation, a maximum number of your farms as an integral part of the entire Farm Bureau program. Young Farmers should range from age 18-35years.
