Breakfast with Local Officials
The second breakfast with the county commissioners, local farmers and agribusiness leaders was held on April 3, 2009.
Dinner on the Farm
This yearly event provides Farm Bureau members of St. Clair, Huron, Lapeer, Macomb and Sanilac counties the opportunity to make their concerns known to Congresswoman Candice Miller, while enjoying dinner on a local farm. This year's event was held on July 6th at the Sulkowski & Sons Farm in Wales Twp.
Earth Fair
In 2007 and 2008, St. Clair County Farm Bureau had joined the grassroots effort of the Earth Fair at Goodells County Park to educate people who want to promote a cleaner, healthier world for themselves and future generations.

Lansing Legislative Seminar
Each year, Farm Bureau organizes face-to-face meetings with hundreds of Farm Bureau leaders and their respective elected officials. These annual "lobbying" missions are a key element in the Farm Bureau grassroots policy development and policy execution process.
The event took place on February 17, 2010. Ryan Schweihofer, Travis Fahley, Doug Fournier, Karen Lewis and Charlie Lewis represented St. Clair County Farm Bureau.

Project R.E.D. is targeted at third grade students and provides hands-on-agriculture and natural resources education. Children rotate among several different stations to view and learn about animals, horticulture and natural resources.

Promotion & Education
The goal of the Promotion and Education program is to educate Michigan consumers about agriculture through working with children and schools and coordinating public outreach programs to promote and educate about agriculture. In addition, the Promotion and Education program strives to educate farmers on issues impacting agriculture.
St. Clair County Farm Bureau is in need of a Promotion & Education chair. If you have an interest in promoting agriculture and Farm Bureau, enjoy working with a variety of people, have the ability to communicate, and willing to assist in the organization of people and events, we would love to hear from you.

Washington Legislative Seminar

Young Farmer
The Young Farmer program is designed to develop leadership potential for men and women between the ages of 18 and 35.
The Young Farmer program, chaired by Mike Butler, also provides farmers with discussion meets and social activities such as golf events and regional camp weekends.

Young People's Citizenship Seminar
Over two hundred twenty of the top students from Michigan convene each year in late June to learn about world economic and political systems and conduct their own mock election. Sponsored by county Farm Bureaus across the state, the Citizenship Seminar has been conducted for over 35 years and has provided leadership skills for over 5,000 of Michigan's youth.
This year's event will take place June 28 and run through July 1, 2010. In 2009, St. Clair County Farm Bureau sponsored Zachary Rickerman from Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School to attend this event.We'd like to thank Diane Rzeppa and staff for volunteering to be the YPCS coordinator in 2009.
