Ecology Issues
What we do
The Agriculture Ecology Department provides Michigan Farm Bureau members with ecological and land use expertise. Department staff provides education, technical support and program development.
Our staff provides support for the following member committees and activities:
Natural & Environmental Resource Advisory Committee
This committee advises the Michigan Farm Bureau Board of Directors, represents Michigan Farm Bureau, develops relationships with other organizations and agencies and encourage programming that is related to any natural resources or environmental issues.
County Issues Committee
The purpose of this committee is to identify county issues effecting agriculture. Once the issues have been identified the committee will develop and carry-out plans to address these issues.
ACE 2009
Agriculture's Conference on the Environment: Managing Today for Tomorrow - planned for Wednesday, January 28, 2009 addresses environmental and economic issues that affect farms of all sizes and all commodities and Michigan's diverse $64 billion, agricultural industry.
