The month of October has become synonymous for breast cancer awareness — a cancer that strikes far too many women and men around the world.
For more than 25 years, Ford Motor Company’s Warriors in Pink®, a mission-driven initiative supporting those affected by breast cancer, has provided the breast cancer community “more good days.” More Good Days is a program designed to empower patients, survivors, co-survivors and caregivers with tips, tools and resources to do just that: give or gain good days.
This year, Warriors in Pink has teamed up with GoRide Health™ which provides non-medical emergency transportation services for breast cancer patients and a companion to non-emergency medical appointments in southeast Michigan, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo.
GoRide Health eliminates a patient’s mobility barriers and provides a sense of relief by taking away the stress of driving themselves or relying on family and friends to take them. All rides are covered by Ford Warriors in Pink. A professionally trained driver and a specially equipped Ford Transit van take patients to and from their appointments with empathy and care.
Ford believes that no one needing access to health services should worry about the challenges in finding reliable transportation, and as one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world, they’re making this possible for patients in need.
