To help encourage those newcomers that it’s worth a couple days off the farm to assert your members’ priorities, a new state-annual promotional brochure will become a common sight this fall.
“I guess you could call this ‘State Annual in a Nutshell,’” said Deb Schmucker, MFB’s field operations director and one of the event’s key organizers. “It’s an important event, obviously, but it’s also a big event—sometimes overwhelming—and our county Farm Bureau leaders were asking for help summarizing it simply when they’re recruiting their delegates.”
Thus was born a simple, folded cardstock brochure (pictured) that hits the high points and distills MFB’s biggest single event so it fits in a shot glass.
“This one, folded page summarizes everything a prospective delegate needs to know,” Schmucker said, “including the what-n-why of the event itself, a concise agenda and some very encouraging words from a few of our most convincing leaders—members with the critical minds and passionate hearts that make them such great leaders in the first place.
“State annual is where members like that really come into their own and rise to the top of our organization.”
Copies of this year’s state-annual preview pamphlet are in county Farm Bureau offices now and will soon be in the hands and passenger seats of your MFB regional representative. For more information, visit www.michfb.com/annual or call our county office.
