LAPEER — Somewhere in the cluttered piles of whiz-bang-creative ideas our county Farm Bureaus come up with is the notion of injecting youthful thinking into their decision-making by welcoming junior board members into leadership roles.
Lapeer County Farm Bureau has put their junior board member experiment in the ‘win’ column, President Tiffany Howell explained to farm-friendly reporter Phil Foley of the farm-friendly Lapeer County Press.
You can read Foley’s article online here, and while you’re at it, think about how some bright young minds might freshen up conversations around your board table. It’s a great way to introduce your local 4-H and FFA members to Farm Bureau, and get some new perspectives and insights on your county Farm Bureau’s activities at the same time.
That’s more of a ‘win-win’ column.
