Amy and Nate Engelhard attended the new Connect for the Future Forum at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville on Aug. 1-2.
Together, the Engelhards and many other leaders from county Farm Bureaus participated in group discussions focused on how we can move the county Farm Bureaus into the next 100 years. Discussion topics included: generational differences, building relationships with Farm Bureau Insurance agents and sharing the load of volunteerism.
Main speaker Cynthia D’Amour taught participants how to attract more volunteers to our organization.
By finding their hot buttons—learning new things, helping a cause or meeting new people—D’Amour taught forum attendees how we can better attract new people to help in the Farm Bureau.
One volunteer cannot do it all.
Many volunteers doing what interests them can better grow the organization and guarantee its relevance in the future.
The Tuscola County Farm Bureau would like to thank the Engelhards for participating in this event and for bringing back some valuable information for the benefit of the county and its programs.
