Spotlighting profitability and financial fundamentals in its second ‘season,’ Farmers After Hours looks at best accounting practices Oct. 7 with a representative from GreenStone Farm Credit Services.
MFB’s Farmers After Hours series launched earlier this year with a general look at farm stress and mental health. Its second series zooms in on one of the top causes of that stress — all things financials — with some very real, very open online discussions and sharing of information, resources and experiences among industry experts and real-world farmers.
This new eight-week series launched Sept. 16 with the first of two live panel discussions in which online participants could listen in and pose questions anonymously. At 7 p.m. each Wednesday in between we’ll share a new 20-minute video sharing financial fundamental and profitability resources:
Then on week eight (Nov. 4) the series concludes with a live, ask-the-expert panel scheduled to last a full 90 minutes. Panelists will include Mollie Woods, Mike McKeown and a representative of GreenStone Farm Credit Services.
Those unable to tune in but still interested in the content can catch all series components on the MFB YouTube Channel.
Farmers After Hours is co-sponsored by the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture and GreenStone Farm Credit Services.
