While our focus is on fall harvest, don’t forget Nov. 5 is an election day in 73 of Michigan’s 83 counties! See a complete list here.
“Elections occurring in odd-numbered years don’t receive the attention they deserve,” said Michigan Farm Bureau Government Relations Specialist, Matt Kapp. “Just because high profile people like the president, governor, or others are not on the ballot doesn’t mean there aren’t important decisions to be made.
“In many areas voters will consider issues and millage proposals impacting their townships, cities, counties, schools and more.”
If you’re unable to make it to the polls, simply complete an absentee ballot application and submit it to your local clerk — and the sooner the better to give them adequate time to mail the ballot for you to complete and return.
