The Young Farmer Achievement Award recognizes a successful young agriculturalist or couple, deriving a majority of his/her income from an owned production agriculture enterprise, for outstanding achievement in the business of farming and leadership in the agricultural community.
Hard work, intelligent planning, and development of management and leadership skills lead to success in the business of farming. Success needs to be recognized. Recognizing successful young farmers not only pays tribute to the individuals, it also draws attention to the entire field of farming. It brings the importance of agriculture into focus.
