I grew up near Evart — Sears to be exact, but nobody knows where Sears is and Evart’s only seven miles away, so just go with Evart. The town is known for SpringHill Camps, and history-wise we exist because of logging and the Muskegon River. It’s a one-stoplight type of town, with a population of everyone wants to know your business.
I grew up on a dairy farm and did 14 years of 4-H. I showed goats, dairy, beef, pigs and (don’t tell anyone, but) horses a few years before I realized they made me no money.
I serve as the West-Central Regional Manager, working with Farm Bureau members in Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana and Osceola counties.
Regional Managers are truly Farm Bureau’s jacks-of-all-trades. We connect home office to our members and help out wherever county Farm Bureau leaders want us to be.
My and my husband Ryan’s lives really do revolve around agriculture — but when we aren’t working or farming, we travel.
We enjoy trying new foods, experiencing and living with different cultures. Every few years we do mission work in Uganda and are big outdoor people, loving to hunt and be out on water too.
Last but not least, we love wine, and enjoy finding and supporting our local wineries and breweries!
