The Excellence in Agriculture Award recognizes a successful young individual or couple, who does not derive the majority of their income from normal production risk, for involvement in agriculture, leadership ability and participation in Farm Bureau and other organizations.
Hard work, intelligent planning and the development of leadership skills are key to success in the entire agricultural industry. Success needs to be recognized. Recognizing successful young farmers not only pays tribute to the individual, it also draws attention to agriculture. It emphasizes the need for highly efficient young farmer leaders to provide safe and quality food for all people.
