Michigan Farm Bureau members have an exclusive opportunity to hear from state and national farm policy experts at the organization’s 2018 issue outlook conference on Feb. 13 at the Mt. Pleasant Comfort Inn & Suites.
Presentations will include:
“We’re at a critical juncture as an industry and I think the agenda we’ve crafted will inform and help prepare our farmer members for the coming year,” said Kate Thiel, MFB field crops specialist. “With farm bill deliberations well underway and markets fluctuating, there’s great potential for Michigan agriculture going into 2018 and beyond.”
Members can register online through Feb. 2; those needing overnight accommodations should register by Jan. 19. The $60 registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
Following lunch, MFB’s advisory committee members will hold commodity-specific breakout sessions to discuss issues directly impacting production and marketing. The groups will also consider potential recommendations for the policy development process. Attendees who are not committee members are welcome to listen to the breakout sessions as non-voting members.
The conference will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.; click here for the full agenda.

Note: Advisory committee members received separate instructions and materials via email and needn’t complete the online registration.
