The subscription button on Farm Gate’s recent special election edition (sent to all regular members, not just the active ones) netted us a wagonload of new subscribers. All those folks are now on the Farm Gate mailing list and so from here on out will receive the latest news about Farm Bureau programs and opportunities for involvement
Why? Because Farm Gate’s mission is to foster involvement in the organization you, your peers and your predecessors have built, expanded and refined over the course of the past century.
Two quick things:
First: It warmed my heart to see the interest a big scoopful of new members had in this still-new, still-maturing publication. But what really tickled me is the geographic spread of these folks. (How tickled? Tickled enough I made that map.)
How cool is it that the next Farm Gate will be opened and enjoyed in:
The icing on that cake was a trio of place names previously unfamiliar to me: East Leroy, Galien and Tipton. Obviously I need to spend more time in the southern tier…
Second: A friendly reminder that Farm Gate’s member-involvement axis means we want your thoughts, feedback and—yes—contributions. It’s not the best place for sharing poems or recipes, but if you know of or are involved in some Farm Bureau program or activity you feel warrants sharing with a wider audience, this is where you can do it.
