The American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) board of directors has approved the organization’s 2019 strategic action plan goals that they feel require the focus of intensive, cross-functional planning and grassroots engagement:
“AFBF’s priority issues dovetail well with the needs county Farm Bureau leaders and members have been sharing with the members of Michigan’s Congressional delegation,” said Michigan Farm Bureau’s National Legislative Counsel John Kran. “These topics aren’t new, so we’ll continue to be persistent in advocating for the policy changes our grass-roots policy calls for.
“We are encouraging our county Farm Bureaus to continue building and nurturing relationships with elected officials at all levels, whether it’s inviting them out to a farm, hosting them at local meetings or a making a personal phone call or email.”
