State Annual: Register for district meetings by Oct. 29

Date Posted: October 14, 2021

Registration is now open for county Farm Bureau members interested in attending their district-level policy and election meetings, a vital component of this year’s hybrid MFB State Annual Meeting. Interested members should contact their county Farm Bureau office immediately; registration closes Oct. 29.

All district meetings will take place Nov. 9 or 10 and include a policy review session to set the stage for the final delegate session, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Grand Rapids. Here’s the when and where for each:

In odd-numbered districts, attendees will elect district directors to represent them on the MFB Board of Directors. And in all districts, candidates for the state board’s two at-large seats will have the opportunity to introduce themselves virtually prior to those elections taking place in Grand Rapids.

Other agenda items (variable by district) may include recognition of county Farm Bureau leaders, voting system practice and procedural review for delegate session, district director remarks, and review of delegate chair responsibilities. Delegate chairs will be strongly encouraged to take part in a follow-up meeting Nov. 23.

Don’t wait! Contact your county Farm Bureau office now to make sure your voice is heard in our grassroots policy process!
