Agenda
Farm Economy & Trade
Federal policy has a direct and growing impact on the U.S. farm economy and how agricultural products are marketed and sold around the world. This track will examine the economic implications for Michigan agriculture and highlight Michigan Farm Bureau’s policy priorities and proposed solutions.
Workforce Reform
Meaningful agricultural workforce reform is critical to the viability of many Michigan farms. This track will build on recent wins for seasonal immigrant labor while addressing the continued need for a reliable, year-round workforce for other segments of agriculture.
Farm Bill
The authorization of the Farm Bill has expired, with no clear path forward. This track will urge Congress to advance key programs and provisions left out of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” including conservation programs, language to address California’s Proposition 12, and increased investment in specialty crop research.
