Why Donate

Why Should I Donate?

With agriculture being Michigan’s second-largest economic sector, it’s of utmost importance that consumers have an understanding of how agriculture impacts their daily lives. Just 20 percent of kindergarten through third graders, and 35 percent of fourth through sixth graders receive daily science education. Just 66 percent of Michigan citizens haven’t been on a farm in the last seven years.  These statistics heighten the importance of consumer education, and agriculture awareness.

The Michigan Foundation for Agriculture is dedicated to developing and expanding programs in the state of Michigan to broaden consumer messaging through a wide range of programs.
