2022 ‘Pilot’ Michigan FFA Convention Admin Experience

Date Posted: January 13, 2022

Your county Farm Bureau could benefit from reading this article if:

  • A local school system has hired a new superintendent or high school principal;
  • Your school board is interested in starting an agriscience program;
  • Your county Farm Bureau members want to see more local ag-ed opportunities.

Michigan Farm Bureau is piloting the Michigan FFA Convention Admin Experience during the 2022 Michigan FFA State Convention, March 10 at Michigan State University. Designed after the Michigan FFA Alumni’s National FFA Convention Experience, this one-day experience will be open to administrators looking to learn more about agriscience and FFA outside the classroom.

Five spots will be available on a first-registered, first-served basis for schools that have hired a superintendent or high school principal within the last three years, or administrators looking to start an agriscience program.

Participants will experience leadership contests, learn how teachers incorporate agriscience into their curricula, meet with school administrators and FFA alumni, and experience a convention session.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as parking and take-home resource packets. The cost to attend is $25/person.

If your county would like to support an administrator or has questions, please contact Katie Eisenberger, MFB’s high school and collegiate programs specialist.
