Hillsdale County Farm Bureau is now in its seventh year of offering scholarship awards to outstanding high school seniors offering $500 per recipient.

Please join us in congratulating Chole Stalhood and Clara Heath as the 2025 Hillsdale County Farm Bureau Scholarship recipients!

Chole is a senior at Hillsdale High School and is actively participating in Country Kid 4-H Club and the Junior Livestock Committee. She plans to attend Oakland University majoring in Integrated Science with the goal of becoming a Science Teacher. Chloe has spent many hours focused on track, cross country and agriculture, such as leading through 4-H organizing camps, shows, and ag Olympics. She also served as the secretary on the Junior Livestock Committee.

Clara is a senior at Hillsdale Academy and is actively participating in Stock Stars 4-H Club. She plans to attend Adrian College majoring in Pre-Law. Clara has taken strides to expand her leadership roles through her 4-H Club and volleyball as team captain. In the future she also plans to stay tied in with the agriculture-industry to mentor upcoming youth.

The county farm bureau also would like to thank the scholarship committee for their time and efforts in selecting students for the scholarship: Amber Kohler, Ethan Bognar, Erin Ladd, and Kayla Lewis.

Scholarship recipients will receive their first year of membership paid by the county farm bureau and are invited to the County Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 26th to recognize them before other members of the organization.

The scholarship program is sponsored in-part by many local organizations that passionately support agriculture-based programs. Community support is key to programs that recognize upcoming agriculture leaders of the future, and it goes without saying that every sponsorship dollar, every volunteer opportunity, and every communication about youth programs makes programs like the scholarship awards possible.
