Saginaw County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Bonnie Vasold Scholarship. The submission deadline is March 31, 2026.
This $1,000 academic scholarship is awarded annually in honor of Bonnie Vasold, a dedicated Saginaw County Farm Bureau member who passed away in November 2013. Bonnie exemplified the true spirit of volunteerism, serving on the county Farm Bureau Board of Directors and numerous committees, while also generously giving her time to many other community organizations throughout Saginaw County.
Bonnie’s passion for agriculture, education, leadership, and community involvement continues to live on through the people and organizations she helped shape. This scholarship reflects her lifelong commitment to service and her belief in supporting future leaders in agriculture and agricultural-related fields.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident of Saginaw County
- Be currently enrolled or planning to attend an educational institution
- Be pursuing a degree in agriculture or an agricultural-related field of study
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (for current students)
Applicants do not need to be first-year college students to apply.
