The Board of Directors has set direction for the coming year, focusing on growth, community engagement, and stronger connections across Barry County’s agricultural community. Their goals highlight both long‑standing traditions and new opportunities to expand outreach and support.

 Strengthening Young Farmer Involvement

The board aims to grow participation among young farmers, ensuring the next generation has the resources, mentorship, and community ties needed to thrive.

Deer Management Focus

The board will explore policy ideas related to deer management and processing availability, supporting efforts aligned with Quality Deer Management principles.

Support for FFA

FFA programs remain a priority, with ongoing efforts to encourage student leadership, agricultural education, and community involvement.

Expanding Digital Presence

The board plans to grow its online reach to better connect with members and share updates more effectively.

Career Day Participation

Looking ahead to 2027, the organization plans to attend the Barry County Career Day and host an informational table to introduce students to agricultural careers and local opportunities.

A renewed effort will bring together landowners and hunters to support responsible deer population management.
