Project Rural Education Day!

A huge thanks goes out to all our volunteers for helping with everything from being a presenter to a gopher. Project RED wouldn't be possible without you!
Project Red is a field trip for 3rd graders in Branch County. Classes come to Branch Area Career Center’s Land Lab to learn about various aspects of agriculture. In 2022 children learned about sheep, pigs, bees, myths and facts surrounding ag as well as goats. Children also get to see baby animals and the Conservation District taught them about the water cycle & kinds of soil.
March is Reading Month
Committee members went to classrooms as requested to read an ag accurate book. This year's book was “I Love Strawberries” written by Shannon Anderson. "I love Strawberries" was the 2023 National Ag in the Classroom Book of the year!
Did you know that items such as Red Gold tomato products, zuccinni, squash, pumpkins, soup beans, milk and even popcorn are grown right here in Branch County?
