Project RED (Rural Education Days) is a learning opportunity open to all Washtenaw County 3rd grade students that educates youth about agriculture and celebrates the contribution of local farmers and agriculture-related industries to our great State of Michigan. Each year, almost 2,000 3rd graders experience this wonderful event.

Project RED is a collaboration between Washtenaw County MSU Extension 4-H, Washtenaw County Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee, Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, and Washtenaw County Conservation District and it takes many hands to pull the event together!

This year's Project RED will be held from Tuesday April 23 to Thursday, April 25th at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds. The set up will take place on the afternoon/evening of April 22nd. Volunteers are needed for animal exhibits, group leaders, commodity displays, and other educational exhibits. Teens and adults are welcome to volunteer at this event. (We can give families a letter to excuse youth from school if needed!)
