The St. Joseph County Farm Bureau Board of directors announced this scholarship in Connie Maystead’s memory, at their annual meeting in 2007. Connie Maystead served as the administrative manager of the organization for over 25 years. Applications are now available for the scholarship(s).
Eligibility requirements:
1. Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certificate in an Ag-Related field of study.
2. Applicants must be a graduate accepted by or attending a post-secondary institution or technical school.
3. Applicants may re-apply for this scholarship each year.
4. Student's grades and need for the scholarship are taken into consideration.
5. The St. Joseph County Farm Bureau Board of Directors will determine the recipient(s) of the scholarship(s). Applications are ranked based on Essay, Agriculture/community Involvement, and Farm Bureau Involvement.
RESTRICTIONS:
1. Scholarship to be used for tuition, fees and books and will be paid directly to the University or College.
2. If the recipient of the scholarship quit or drops out of school - the remainder of the scholarship is to be refunded to the St. Joseph County Farm Bureau. Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or better.
3. Applicants must be a member of the St. Joseph County Farm Bureau while receiving scholarship funds.
