Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan has been awarded a 2025 Top Workplaces honor by the Detroit Free Press. The 2025 recognition represents the organization’s ninth instance being heralded by the publication as one of Michigan’s 100 premiere places to work over the past ten years. Its placement at # 9 serves as its third consecutive top ten finish.
“It’s a distinct honor to see Farm Bureau Insurance as a mainstay on this list,” said CEO Don Simon. “The Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces are rated based on anonymous employee surveys, so the positive feedback is not something you take for granted.” Simon concluded, “Receiving an endorsement of our culture directly from those working hard to uphold our high standards is priceless in my mind. It’s an important indication that we’re doing things the right way.”
The Top Workplaces lists are based on various aspects of workplace culture including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, to name a few of the top categories. For this study, the Free Press partners with Philadelphia-based Energage, an employee research and culture technology firm, to determine the results. The rankings are based solely on employee survey feedback that is then analyzed based on Energage's objective criteria. Energage performs the surveys for media partners in metropolitan areas across the United States.
