Free biosecurity signs available to Farm Bureau members

Date Posted: May 17, 2024

Michigan Farm Bureau continues to work on members’ behalf during the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and Bovine Influenza.

We know that implementing the new on-farm biosecurity requirements issued by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) is a challenge, and we recognize the importance of protecting the health of your farm animals and agriculture operations.

To promote biosecurity and help farms comply with the recent HPAI Risk Reduction Response Order, Michigan Farm Bureau has biosecurity signs (example below) available for members free of charge, on a first come first served basis.

If you would like a sign, please contact your county Farm Bureau for more information and to coordinate pickup. Once the supply of free signs are distributed, additional signs may be purchased from our online store at a minimal cost.

We encourage you to follow Michigan Farm News for the latest news regarding HPAI and Bovine Influenza.

The MDARD website also has numerous resources available related to the response order, questions regarding exhibitions, biosecurity and more.
