Huron Shores County Farm Bureau is hosting a free Grain Bin Safety Training for area first responders and firefighters. There is capacity for 30 individuals in each of two sessions. Times will be 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This valuable training will provide first responders with the skills needed to save a farmer from tragedy in the event of a grain bin accident. Huron Shores will also be purchasing a grain bin rescue unit that will be donated to a centrally located local fire department for use wherever needed within Alpena and Alcona counties.
