Ionia, Monroe Co. leaders reappointed to Farm Produce Insurance Authority

Ionia County Farm Bureau President Terry Page and Monroe County Farm Bureau member Gerald Heck were recently reappointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to continue serving on the Farm Produce Insurance Authority board. Both will serve a term through June 2026.

Terry Page, of Lyons, is the owner and operator of Page Farms, LLC and is a member of the National Corn Growers Association and National Soybean Grower Association. He is reappointed to represent the largest Michigan organization representing general farm interests in Michigan. 

Gerald Heck, of Monroe, is the owner of Heck Farms, LLC and holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture from MSU. He is reappointed to represent the largest Michigan organization exclusively representing wheat producers in Michigan.

  • Stephen Ewald, a Tuscola County Farm Bureau member of Unionville

  • Jason Haag, a Huron County Farm Bureau member of Unionville

  • Rita Herford, a Huron County Farm Bureau member of Pigeon

  • James Howe, a Saginaw County Farm Bureau member of Frankenmuth

  • Mark Kies, a Hillsdale County Farm Bureau member of Allen

  • Nichole Wilcox of Portland, a Senior Vice President & Managing Director of Capital Markets at GreenStone Farm Credit Services

  • William Willson, a Shiawassee County Farm Bureau member of Perry

The Michigan Farm Produce Insurance Authority, created by P.A. 198 of 2003, is a board representing farmers, grain industry, banking interests, and has the responsibility of establishing, administering and promoting the Farm Produce Insurance Fund.
