Lenawee Young Farmers Take In Big-Time Bull Riding in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Lenawee County Young Farmers spent Saturday, February 21, at the Huntington Center for an evening of professional bull riding — and it’s safe to say it was worth the trip.

The lights went down, the chutes banged open, and one rider after another gave it everything they had for eight long seconds. Dirt flew. The crowd didn’t sit much. Every successful ride brought cheers that echoed through the arena, and every close call had the whole place holding its breath.

Members watched riders square off against powerful bulls, saw bullfighters jump in when needed, and waited for the judges’ scores to flash across the screen. It was fast, loud, and intense — the kind of event that reminds you just how much grit and athleticism the sport takes.

More than that, it was a good night to connect. Between rides, Young Farmers caught up, shared a few laughs, and enjoyed being together outside of work responsibilities. Events like this are a reminder that the group isn’t just about business — it’s about building friendships and strengthening the ag community.

The Lenawee County Young Farmers continue to host events that mix learning, leadership, and fun. From industry discussions to community involvement and outings like Saturday night’s trip, the group offers young adults in agriculture a place to connect and grow.

If you weren’t there, you missed a great night — but there’s always the next one. Join us on April 6 for the discussion meet that helps build skills and have a lot of fun, and compete for some amazing prizes. Young adults ages 18–35 with an interest in agriculture are encouraged to get involved. Keep an eye out for upcoming events and see what you’ve been missing.
