The House Agriculture Committee has passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 — better known as the farm bill — following a two-day marathon markup session.

As the bill now heads to the House floor, Michigan Farm Bureau President Ben LaCross is urging Congress to pass this critical legislation that supports farmers in our state and across the country.

“Michigan Farm Bureau thanks House Ag Committee member Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet for her crucial support of this landmark bill and for her vote to pass it to the full House,” LaCross said.

“We look forward to working with her and other members of Congress to pass this new farm bill and help farmers continue to provide the food, fiber and renewable fuel our country and world depend on.”
