Open school admins’ eyes about agriscience

The Michigan FFA Alumni’s Administrators Experience is an opportunity to drive home the importance and vitality of agriscience education to local school district leaders.
Date Posted: July 12, 2023

The Michigan FFA Alumni is again hosting a trip to the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. Formally known as the Michigan FFA Alumni’s Administrators Experience, this junket is a valuable, eye-opening opportunity for exposing local school administrators to the importance of agriscience programming.

County Farm Bureaus should consider investing in local agriscience education by sponsoring attendees, especially if any of these scenarios sounds familiar:

  • Local school district leadership lacks familiarity with agriscience, and/or your agriscience educator wants to open their eyes to agriscience/FFA opportunities.
  • Your community wants to start a new agriscience program — or refresh a tired one.
  • The school counselor is new and, as schedule coordinator and career-tech-ed (CTE) director, they should better understand the value of agriscience education.

The Administrators Experience provides opportunities to learn about agriscience education and programs, attend National FFA Convention sessions and meet with local FFA members — as well as network and share ideas with other Michigan school administrators and agriscience supporters.
