Resources available for promoting Ag Safety Awareness Program Week

Date Posted: February 26, 2026

Farm Bureau member looking for some last-minute ideas and resources for promoting Agricultural Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) Week — that’s this week: March 2-6 — are in luck:

The U.S. Agricultural Safety and Health Centers and AgriSafe Network joining the American Farm Bureau Federation to keep friends and family safe and healthy by recognizing common agricultural hazards under the theme “Live Well, Farm Well.”

Beyond just building awareness, ASAP week is a great opportunity for grassroots engagement toward an effort that is vitally important to us all. Each day of ASAP Week will have a specific focus:

  • Monday: Beat the Heat – Tips for Sun & Heat Safety
  • Tuesday: Rest and Refuel – Building Healthy Sleep and Eating Habits
  • Wednesday: Know Your Numbers – Understanding Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Blood Sugar
  • Thursday: Safe Lifting – Preventing Injury with Proper Body Mechanics and Load Management
  • Friday: Move with Purpose – Benefits of Physical Activity Beyond Farm Work

For some helpful tools for promoting ASAP Week, a promotional toolkit awaits you online that includes suggested social media posts and hashtags, public service announcements and a customizable news release.

Even if you’re unable to utilize these materials this week, much of the content is timely year-round, because it’s always a good time to safeguard our farmers’ health and safety.

Graphic resources for promoting ASAP Week (like the ones above) can be found here.
