#SpeakAgMichigan shakes up topics for 2022

Farm safety is the #SpeakAgMichigan topic for September.
Date Posted: August 31, 2022

High school FFA and Collegiate Farm Bureau members are encouraged to participate in the 2022 #SpeakAgMichigan Challenge, where participants can engage with consumers, develop advocacy skills and win money for your chapter!

After two successful years of digitally capturing apples, pumpkins, turkeys and Christmas trees, students will develop and implement a four-month social media campaign highlighting four new focus areas:

  • September: Farm safety
  • October: Poultry
  • November: Wildlife
  • December: Poinsettias

In the high school division, $5,000 in cash awards will go to the top 10 FFA chapters, with recognition at the Michigan FFA State Convention.

Collegiate division competitors will be recognized during the 2023 Young Farmer Leaders Conference, with the top three collegiate members earning $500, $300 and $200 respectively. Each collegiate member’s chapter will also receive a cash award to be used towards upcoming chapter programming.
