State Farm Bureaus recognized for outstanding member programs and achievement

The American Farm Bureau Federation presented awards to state Farm Bureaus at the organization’s 103rd Convention, which runs through Jan. 12. The awards recognize excellence in implementation of outstanding member programs and membership achievement in 2021.

Michigan received an Awards of Excellence honor, which recognizes achievements in four program areas: Advocacy; Coalitions, and Partnerships; Engagement and Outreach; and Leadership and Business Development.

Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine and Montana earned the Pinnacle Award, the highest honor a state Farm Bureau can be awarded for program and membership achievement.  

The following states earned New Horizon Awards, which honor the most innovative new state Farm Bureau programs:

  • Arizona: Conservation Agriculture Mentoring Program partnership with NRCS
  • Delaware: Digitally Marketing Delaware’s Specialty Crops
  • Illinois: Illinois Ag Mental Health Summit and Mental Health Resources
  • Iowa: Grow Your Future Award
  • Montana: Virtual Farm Fair
  • Oklahoma: Oklahoma Farm Bureau/Oklahoma 4-H ATV Safety Facility

The 103rd AFBF Convention is being held in Atlanta, Georgia.
