AgVenture Library Kits are designed to spark curiosity, encourage a love of reading and connect young learners to the agriculture that surrounds them every day — right here in Michigan. These kits align perfectly with the summer reading library theme, Unearth Your Story, by focusing on one of agriculture’s most important, but often overlooked, resources: the soil.
The kit features a collection of children’s books: Every Little Seed, The Soil in Jackie’s Garden, Dirt: The Scoop on Soil, and Jayden’s Impossible Garden. Through engaging stories and colorful illustrations, students dig into how soil supports plant growth, problem solving and perseverance, all while discovering how small actions can lead to big results.
Beyond the books, AgVenture Library Kits include 30 Soil Ag Magazines and an easy-to-use educator guide connecting each story with a hands-on activity. These tools help educators and librarians extend learning beyond reading, encouraging hands-on exploration, critical thinking and meaningful conversations about soil health and food production.
AgVenture Library Kits cost $60 each and will be available to order online March 16-27.
Next summer, help young readers unearth their story — starting from the ground up.
